Texas Rocks and Minerals Field Guide

It’s a very good but elementary summary of Texas mineralogy. I am a geologist so I look for more technical detail but this is not intended for that purpose. It is aimed for the “rock hound” who is interested in what minerals occur in Texas and where with a few basic physical facts about each species. For that purpose it is very good. Some generalized maps of localities (star on a map) for each species would be nice. I would note that many of these minerals occur on private property so ask landowner permission if out collecting.

Love the Rock book. Learning a lot about the many different types of rocks in Texas. Love the laminated pages, it will last forever.

Very well presented, very good value. I expect it to deliver good results for years to come. An unexpected find. The only thing I would like to see added would be maps. Thanks for a great product.
