New York Rocks and Minerals Field Guide

Very intense, packed with all the basics needed to help identify various rocks and minerals. Very robust construction--will resist attempts in the field to beat it up. Possibly could use a map of New York with some key features on (or perhaps a geological map). The section under fluorescence should perhaps indicate different glowing effects depending on whether long-wave or short-wave UV light is used.

This was a gift for my husband as he and our son love to rock hunt. He loves the book! Thank you!
