Diamond Comp/EQ Compressor

Love it ... over the past decade, I have tried - at least 7 or 8 of the leading compressor pedals - from all the big names. I have liked them all, no real problems with any and none that I actively disliked. And sometimes, I ran 2 or 3 on my board and mixed and matched. But after 3 weeks, I can say that I really like the Diamond. It's my first optical compressor and as is rumoured, it is indeed a gentler style/sound of compression. I run it with the COMP dialed to near zero - I just want a hint of classy sparkle ! - and I really like it. (You can still get lots of squish if you dial the COMP up, no question.) Very clean - that may be a function of using an 18v supply to get more headroom. AND ....... it's ALL Canadian .. Diamond (and its factory) are in Montreal and E-M-Guitars is 40 km due north, so that is a real plus for me (and actually quite important for Canada) in these challenging times.
