Replacement coupling

While changing the lower attachment EGO trimmer attachment, I found that the replacement tool did not fit into the coupling. Upon further inspection, I saw the coupling plastic retainer was bent out of shape. It was easy to find the part and replace it.. however, I feel this is a design flaw using plastic where metal should be used.
