I would say if you have more than four turning points in your lawn, the larger mowers would make sense. Our lawn has so many twists and turns, so this 17", roughly 35lb mower, is the best thing that ever happened to our yard and lives. I also like that im required to mow in two chunks with a break but we planted no-mow grass in the front yard so eventually I will be able to get everything in about 30-40 minutes.
