Starfish Sparkle Drop Earrings

Lightweight and Cute!

These earrings hang perhaps just a little bit lower on me than I would've expected, but they're well enough lightweight and with such minimal jingling that they're perfect to wear while out on the town and in warm weather. I had bought these to wear while on a trip and had no problems with them whatsoever. I would say these make for a fine and even refreshingly subdued addition to any beach aesthetic thanks in part to the matte gold plating (they're shiny but not too shiny and that is in their favor). The long length of the hooks compliments the shorter legs of the starfish and help to create not only a nicely balanced composition, they help the starfish and smaller beads pop out in such a way that I'm not sure can really be done as well with other earring shapes, such as huggies or studs. I do find the long hooks just a tad difficult to work with as another buyer has pointed out, but it's nothing that would prevent me from wearing them. For the sake of distinction too, my earrings came with the smaller beads on symmetrical, opposite sides of the starfish and I'm much happier for it. I would've been more disappointed if the earrings were designed to be simple photocopies of each other as depicted in the photo instead of giving me the immediate ability to wear them with whichever colors I preferred facing outwards. The starfish are not symmetrical and the aqua-green beads are only half-green with the other sides of them colored something like a glinting oil sheen, but these too are no reasons not to get them; if anything it inspires closer viewing for me. Overall, I like them fine and think they're perfect for an easy, breezy, "Don't overcomplicate it," kind of look. You can dress them up with a more formal outfit if you want, but they're perfectly fine for adding a bit of sparkle to a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a jacket. I can't wait for summer weather to come around so I can wear them again!
