With no waistband, there is no way for it to do the awful cut off line in the middle. The top is comfortable and gives just a bit of lift, with no need to be aware of bust size, since it's under bust with no cups.

This is the best invention EVER!!! Because it comes up so high, it keeps all my excess skin (okay, let's call it what it really is...fat) from "spilling over" the top of it. I have tried other shapewear in the past, but I always ended up with "unsightly" bulges over the top (both in front and back). But this has mercifully solved that problem for me!
