Great so far, installation instructions need improvement

Second Mr. cool ceiling cassette I’ve installed. First one still working great after 2 years. Recent install of the second one.. so far, so good - working great. Mr. cool install instructions are lacking and could be improved significantly. The lineset connections to both the condenser and head unit (ceiling cassette) are very important. Installation instructions reference torque values multiple times throughout the manual with many warnings not to over-torque the fittings. That’s fine and good. The linesets have delicate brass connections. However, the problem is that most DIY’ers will not have a specialized and expensive HVAC torque wrench in their arsenal. I am an airline pilot, and airplane mechanic and used to build homes. So, I have experience that a lot of potential buyers and DIY installers won’t have. And I still thought Mr. cool’s install spec was lacking. Tip: if you don’t have an HVAC torque wrench, thread fittings by hand initially and then tighten the connections until no threads are showing, and don’t go any further.

Coolest Install Ever

I purchased the ceiling cassette and a multi zone condenser. With easy to follow instructions, clear diagrams and pictures, and even extra screw and bolts included, the install of the system was the easiest. And very cool too. Brought my house from a sweltering 87 degrees down to a comfortable 70 degrees within a handful of hours. I look forward to adding two more wall units before the summer ends.
