I'm a no drill person when I can and since I just got my 2023 4Runner it will be a bit before any drilling mods are in my book. I'm a HAM radio operator and really wanted a clean place to mount the control head for my Yaesu FTM400. My previous vehicle was a Tacoma and I had the control head mounted to the mirror and was overhead. Not possible in the 4Runner due to the Toyota safety sensors. I stumbled on this though and it's solved my issue. I'm a big fan of RAM mounts an use them for a lot of different things. This product works perfectly with the RAM balls and worked great for my control head. Some things to note.. I used a short arm as a longer arm caused the head to bounce more than I cared for. The platform is solid but does have some flex so I wouldn't mount anything too heavy unless you're using short arms. This is perfect if you're putting an action camera on your dash as well which I will be doing.
