I put it on my A5 size notebook, and the interior has enough space for me to carry my pens/pencils/highlighters/stickers/small ruler/small scissor/whiteout tape/anything portable for your planning & journaling needs. The outside pocket I love for quick-to-get-to pens, sticky notes or scratch paper.
