Lovely sound. It is full and warm, bass is indees elevated but not insane, all genres of music sound great on these and i love the heft. Cables were of lovely quality as well, i am expecting to use these IEM’s for the rest of my life!!

Unique Character iem with Massive Bass

Somehow the Reference tuning received an obscene level of bass. And it became a totally different experience altogether. This is what we need in a hobby filled with same-meta-like tunings from just about every iem maker out there. Unlike the Reference, there is more granular detail in the Monolith’s midrange. Making vocals standout with texture that are normally found in higher price bracket iems. Probably attributed to the premium dynamic drivers used in the production. There is sufficient treble to give completeness to the music, though not enough for treble heads and those who demand plenty of airy atmosphere in their music diet. The Bass though is unique in all the iems I’ve heard that have bass boost. There’s a consistent granular texture in the music across the presentation that is neither off putting or unwarranted like some other bass tuning. The Monolith’s bass, despite its crazy FR suggests, is well under control, weighty and punchy when certain crescendos in music arrangements call for it and tucks away when not. Not sure how Crin did it, but the man deserves high praise for delivering such finesse. The Project Monolith is truly a unique sounding experiment that deserves its place in the market. Even if only for 999 lucky fellas.
