Wear gloves putting it together.
Gloves. The nylock nuts have sharp edges and if you use an impact to spin them on, you may round holes into your fingers and bleed on your new dolly..:D
Anyways putting it together was fun. Intuitive really. One of the first instruction is to turn the axle label “aft”. Unless AFT means “UP” in boat-lingo, someone put my sticker on incorrectly at the factory. I rallied and figured it out. I test fit my Hobie Outback on the thing. The dolly could be about a foot longer. It wants to teeter up at the nose. With a motor “aft” it will definately pop up and I need to tie it down. The two rubber “supports” have to be put way up front to even contact the kayak hull. Overall, I believe this thing will save my lower back putting my kayak into/out-of the water. It aint a trailer, but I dont have trailer storage space, so this will be awesome. I dinked it ONE-STAR because it really doenst fit the Outback all that well.
Oh, the dolly was way bigger than I envisioned. It is BURLY!! I now understand how it can come with a hitch attachment!! (I may buy that soon)
