From the American “Symphonic ‘30s” - Music From Dawson - Hanson & Grainger

Surround channels in 5.0 flac download

The previous review complained of little or no signal in the two surround channels of the American Symphonic '30s recording, which I produced. I can only speculate that something is somehow not correct or not working right in John T.'s playback system, since all of the HDTT 5.0 immersive surround recordings, which I recorded and produced, have full sound and 100% signal strength in channels 4 and 5, which are the Surround channels. If one is not hearing the surround loud and clear, something is not right with the playback system configuration.

Poor surround

Never heard of any of this music before. I liked a few. But I'm deducting 4 stars for the surround. This is the first surround recording from HDTT made like the major labels surround recordings, that is, nothing but ambiance in the rear channels, and what little is there is of such low volume I had to put my ear up to the speaker to hear anything. Why bother recording in surround if the rear channels are almost silent; it's just plain stereo that way! Did somebody mistakenly bump down the rear levels while recording?
