19” Brawny

This is actually my second Velowave bike that I’ve purchased. I still have my first one, which is a fat tire Ranger mountain bike. I absolutely love that bike and have put over 2500 miles on it since getting it. When the Brawny came out I knew I would be buying it as soon as possible. To me it has everything I love about my Ranger ebike incorporated in it plus impressive upgrades like rear suspension, more power, bigger tires and a better center of gravity while riding in tough terrain thanks to the motor being moved from the rear hub to the lowest part of the bikes frame. I have a full suspension Giant brand ebike that I paid over $6k for 2 years ago and I’m putting it up for sale because I know it won’t be getting used by me because my Velowave is far superior over it for the type of riding I do and the places I take my bikes. The cherry on the cake is the customer service Velowave offers. When I bought my Ranger ebike I accidentally broke a part that makes the pedal assist work and my brakes got something on them that made them squeal really bad so I contacted customer service to see what my options were with getting my bike back on the trail. Since my bike was only a few weeks old they told me to drop it off at a specified location and they would have a brand new replacement bike there waiting for me. I have never seen a company stand behind their product like Velowave did. I would have been happy just getting my bike fixed up so I could get back to riding but they took it t the next level by getting me a replacement bike and winning my loyalty as a return customer as well as an outspoken advocate for Velowave bikes. I’ve gotten my brother to buy a Velowave Ranger as well as two of my good friends from work that were liking to get into an ebike.

What a hoot.

I've had this bike about a week now, attached the racks, tail bag & phone holder & taken a few good rides. I am a motorcycle rider all my life & after 50 years of riding & various bicycles too, I finally decided on the Velowave Brawny to add to the stables. Admired many different ebikes over the last eight years or so, & was really narrowed down to an Aventon Adventure 3. Then this grabbed my attention with the higher assisted speed & rear suspension. Then the latest Thanksgiving $500 discount sinched the deal! Still twice the cost of the Aventon, but I decided that the mid drive power, the rear shock & extra speed was worth the extra bucks. So far I am really happy with my purchase & I am excited to take the bike on local trips instead of the car. One small negative I have found though, is I wish the key was needed to ride it & not solely for taking the battery out. However I did buy their combination lock, so that's my added security should I need it. I might also buy the battery horn/alarm next.
