Well designed preamps
love the phase reverse one click button along with the preamp gain very simple to use in or outside VMR. so far FG-73 has an edge for tone in my use cases (guitars so far) but I can see where the 76 could be a usefaul albeit more transparent preamp.

Good
Wasn't gonna buy them is they hadn't been on promotion, the Neve sounded a little too dark to me, but the newer version sounds audibly more open. Or the standalone version vs the VMR version. And it does have that velvety Neve smoothnes. Conversely, the V76 sounded a little too bright - and too flat. But it does enliven your signal on the spot.

love it
i love the slate stuff in general. i think i already have other emulations of both the telefunken and the nev preamp, but having a slate version that i can just put into their virtual rack and directly chain the preamp to the VCC bus to the FG bomber while only having to use one slot in logic is a huge plus for me, especially with a chain that i basically put on almost every channel anyway.
