What can I say about the Dygma Defy? It’s been a pleasure to type on. Even as a software engineer, I never truly learned proper typing—I could type without looking, but relied too much on one hand and inefficient movement. The split design changed that. It forces proper hand use, and for the first time, I actually learned to touch type. That alone made it worth it. I came from a Kinesis Advantage Pro while trying to fix wrist, pinky, and thumb pain. It helped somewhat, but never felt right, and I developed forearm pain. The issue turned out to be tenting. Despite the hype, every adjustment made things worse—I don’t need it. The problem is the Kinesis has a fixed angle. The Defy is flat by default, which suits me perfectly. Within days, my speed and accuracy improved, and I could type longer without breaks. While features like software and build quality are great, the real strength is flexibility. It doesn’t assume—it lets you adapt everything to your body.
