recently purchased the Contemporary Wide Linen Drum Brass Semi Flush Mount to replace a basic builder-grade ceiling light, and overall, I am very happy with the upgrade. It feels very high-end and easily fits into mid-century, modern, or transitional decor. The Lighting: The linen shade diffuses the light beautifully. It creates a very warm, cozy, and inviting glow with absolutely zero harsh glare. It's perfect for a bedroom, hallway, or a cozy dining nook. Installation & Fit: As a semi-flush mount, it sits just slightly below the ceiling, making it a great option if you want the visual interest of a pendant light but have lower ceilings. A Quick Heads-Up: Because of the fabric shade, the light is highly diffused. If you are looking for a fixture to brightly illuminate a workspace or a kitchen where you need sharp, task-focused lighting, this might feel a bit too dim or soft.
