The hat that has it all
I was an avid cap wearer until a summer hike turned my ears into "roast chicken" and I got banned from wearing them since. Was delighted to find this hat because it has everything I wanted in a replacement - good brim, neck cover, ponytail hole, ventilation, solid sun protection, and a sweatband that doesn't advertise my sweaty forehead to everyone. All of that while still being light and soft. The stowable neck cover is so clever and easy to adjust on the go.
My only complaint is, with my proportions, the back of the brim rubs on the top of my backpack, so would be nice to be able to fasten it out of the way, but the hat is easy enough to reshape so it doesn't rub quite as much. All in all, really happy. Is this a lot of money to spend on a hat? Sure, but it's a very good hat, and when sun protection is important it's worth it.
