Eureka, Eat A Peach For Skiing!
This ski does exactly what I was hoping it would do...easily maneuverable in the bumps, particularly easy to manipulate in steep narrow terrain due to the early rise shovel, and yet so fun in the broken snow and crud due to the wide shovel and tail. This ski truly makes it hard for me to select from my quiver (sometimes a hard choice with my Docs) other than when I want my front side Quick Draw for morning carving or deep Pow with my Double Barrels (Motherlode).

Bought them for the top sheet, but they ski great!
I was not in the market for new skis, but when a page I follow linked to a pair of skis featuring my favorite band, I leapt at the opportunity to purchase a pair. I opted for the Mustang 173 model. The artwork (from the "Eat a Peach" album) is incredible. I commend the designer who found a way to take this legendary artwork and fit it neatly on a top sheet. I often find myself staring at them on my wall, despite knowing this artwork very well. If they only served as a nice showpiece in my house/my ski condo, I would still give them a great review. Skis are built to be skied, though, so I decided to mount a set of bindings on them and get them on the snow. Holy cow do I enjoy how well these things turn! They are firm but "poppy" when you get them on edge. They also make for great conversation with strangers on the chairlift. Customer service was excellent as well (note they shipped almost exactly 6 weeks after I ordered them in line with Meier's guidelines on the website, and I ordered them in the heart of ski season). I have since visited the Meier shop in Denver and everyone there has been incredibly nice and helpful. My only complaint with the skis and experience is that I liked both so much that I bought another pair of Meier's for next season!
