The leather is soft and supple, smooth to the touch, and rolls out well. I read analytically, take notes on 4 x 6 cards, and the blotter is a lovely worksurface on my desk. The final product is much darker than shown on the website, so choose your color accordingly.

Love it, perfect for what I needed! My grandfather used to have one like it on an antique desk I inherited (didn't want to put any artificial material on the beautiful veneer top!)
