If you had told mine was unissued I'd believe you. Excellent condition. Fits closely for the size but has a good stretch to it. I would consider this a medium weight sweater.

One size up for ya boy
I have always really liked the styling of the commando sweaters, but it has been hard to find one that is right for me. The classic green ones are fun, but can be a little too militaristic. The German navy blue ones are sharp looking, but also more militaristic and seem very hard to find in the larger sizes. I guess I am just a little more beefcake than your average German. This RAF commando sweater sidesteps all those issues. It looks great and is heavy duty, so you get the militaristic vibe when you want, but it also is a nice casual color and fit, so it also works without feeling too pigeon-holed with the military vibe. It is also something you can find in a larger size range, which I appreciate. I am 5' 10" and 200lb. Usually I wear an XL, but I went up to 2XL on this and it is perfect. The length is reasonable and the fit overall is great. Another great featur of these is that they are almost always less expensive than other similar sweaters. I have been wearing mine frequently as fall closes in and it is nice and warm without being overpowering. I went with the V-neck version instead of the crew. I wasn't sure which would be best, but the V-neck has a little more clearance, which works well if you have glasses (taking the sweater on and off without having to take off your glasses is a real selling point). Overall I am super pleased with my purchase.
