Defining Gel

I've been buying the Defining Gel for years, it's my favorite, my holy grail hair product. When I opened the most recent bottle from my monthly subscription direct from Aquage, I noticed the foil seal under the cap was different than what it usually is. This time it had 3 tabs holding it, vs the typical one tab it's always gad since I started buying it, at least 5 years ago. Didn't give the safety seal any thought until I squeezed some out in my hand and instantly could tell something was different, based solely on how it smells, it was a totally different fragrance. I looked between my close to empty bottle and the new bottle, and the ingredients have changed, or at the very minimum, are now listed in a different order on the new bottle. I haven't gone ingredient by ingredient to see what's been added or taken out yet. I know scent and fragrance is very individualized, but the new scent is very off-putting to me, and doesn't seem to be a variation of the usual scent, but something totally different. Nothing on the bottle to indicate a formula change. I suppose I could have gotten an "off" bottle, but that doesn't really line up with the ingredient list changes. Hoping it was just a shortage or something that is temporary, for one production run, and the next everything will be back to usual, fingers crossed.

I thought this product had been discontinued. I was using three products that still didn’t do what just the defining gel did for my thin baby fine hair. I found out they just changed the packaging. You would have thought I hit the lottery I was so excited. I ordered four immediately!💕

I'm glad I found it again. It seems thinner than the original but still works well. Great for styling my hair whether it was long or short.
