T3 Wanderer Hat

I bought this T3 to replace an identical hat purchased over 25 years ago. The original hat wore out and was starting to lose material. Sparing the details, I was less than optimistic that Tilley would honor the lifetime guarantee. As shipped, the new T3 did not look new. I considered returning it for a refund, but I kept it. I feel that an iconic Canadian company is surviving on past reputation.

Tilley’s, long famous for being made in Canada are now being made in China. The quality appears to be there, but the fit is unquestionably different. I’ve worn a 7 1/4 for twenty years and the 7 1/4 I received is very much a size larger.

Gone is the quality and interaction of the Tilley company that made them the best. Made in China and no guarantee of replacement . Sad to see
