Ilford XP2 Super 400 - B&W 35mm Film

My go-to film

I love XP2 - great contrast and grain, speed, availability - but most of all, being C41 Monochrome, you get your scans sooner than other B&W films. This is worth the price alone.

Excellent Compromise

Very cost effective way of getting nice black and white shots if you don't do your own development. Pleased enough with my first roll to buy another immediately. Actually slightly preferred the XP2 to Delta 400, as I like the grain better and the XP2 seems to be a bit gentler on the contrast, which I like for general use. I guess it feels more modern to me, compared to the very vintage looking Delta. Only kept away from 5 stars as I think you can get better results going for a normal black and white negative, which develops with the usual process.
