Class 60 60055 DCR - Another Outstanding Class 60 from Accurascale

The Accurascale Class 60 in DCR livery is another excellent release. The detailing is first class, the paint application is sharp and the factory-fitted DCC sound brings the locomotive to life. Running performance is superb, with smooth low-speed operation, excellent hauling power and reliable performance straight from the box. As someone who owns multiple Class 60s, I can honestly say Accurascale has set the benchmark. The metal chassis gives the model a solid feel, and the sound project is among the best currently available in OO gauge. By comparison, my experience with Cavalex Class 60s was disappointing. After paying for my models, it took four and a half months before they were repaired and able to run properly. When I raised concerns about motor issues with the Cavalex team at a model railway exhibition, I found their response dismissive rather than reassuring. Accurascale, on the other hand, has consistently delivered excellent products. Combined with an ESU ECoS system, this locomotive performs beautifully. If you are looking for a Class 60, my recommendation is simple. Buy the Accurascale version. In my opinion, it is the finest OO gauge Class 60 currently available.

Fabulous Diesel model locomotive

Fabulous model locomotive. Best diesel I own, detail is fabulous, motor super strong. Only small con - High amp draw, but to be expected on such a heavy locomotive. Can't wait to buy a different accurascale.
