Had this mug for a while now. Really like it! Robust build quality looks really good as well. I’m going to enjoy using it for a long time. At the beginning, i wasn’t sure about the lid for everday use, but i do really like it. It’s definitely water tight, and that has saved me a few times. I also really like the tether when I am hiking. I barely have to hold the mug. Its great. One thing I dont think I have seen mentioned though, is if you have their other pourover kit, there is one mug lid included in that which fits the Rift mugs. If you dont want to use the Rift lid, you can just use the regular lid from VSSL if you choose. Around home, I’ll might just use it that way.
