Good saber and great support
Before purchasing this saber, I had some questions and was very impressed with the prompt replies I received to my questions from Kyberlight. My son and I had first tried two different sabers in the $80-$100 price range that we got from Amazon. The first of those had great sound effects but an overly long blade and poor balance. This made it very hard on the wrist when trying to spin it. The centrifugal force of spinning caused the hilt to slip through my hand, and it was impossible not to accidentally press the button. The second one by comparison felt great, very well balanced with a blade of more reasonable length, so that it spun very easily without slipping through the grasp or causing wrist strain. However, the sound effects on that one were absolutely horrible, more like a diesel engine running than a lightsaber hum. We ended up returning both and kept searching for something that would be dual worthy, have good sound and light effects, and be easy to spin.
We settled on the Bravo with its simple hilt, and we love it! It happened to be on sale at the time, enabling me to afford the cost for two, which makes for much more fun! While my son still prefers the sound effects of the first one we tried from Amazon, he agrees this is a better saber overall and worth the extra cost compared to the others we tried. Unlike those, the Bravo has both good sound/light effects and great handling. I got one for my son and one for myself, and if you unscrew the pommel end of one, they screw together to make a single staff saber (Darth Maul style), so that's really cool. We are also comforted by the one year warranty on the hilt and lifetime warranty on the blade, as well as by my positive experiences so far with customer support (we also contacted support once after purchasing because my son's stopped staying lit and would light up only when moving it around, so we thought it was malfunctioning, but we received an immediate reply to my support request explaining that it was likely in "ghost mode", which we were unaware of and which did turn out to be the case). Considering the shortcomings of the cheaper sabers we tried previously, I consider the Bravo to be a much better value overall. A great saber at an affordable entry-level price, coupled with great support.
