I used the brush cutter attachment for the first time after receiving to trim the bank of the water retention pond behind my house. The area is mostly tall grass, weeds, with a several saplings interspersed…the brush cutter worked surprisingly well. Neighbors use string trimmers and complain about hitting saplings which breaks the string. I don’t need to trim this area but it looks better, so…

Love this thing. 3-point cutting wheel is fantastic for weeds, grasses, brambles small saplings and brush under 1” thick. Design uses the 1” arbor standard so it’s super EZ to shop for replacement cutting wheels of all types. Neighbor asked if it’ll accept a 12” dia. chisel cutting wheel w/ 1” arbor? so we grabbed a forester blade to find out: yep perfect fit. If you try that don’t chop leg off. BCA1220 is quiet, clean, very light weight strong unit; attachment to 1420 power head is a breeze. Love the multi-tool and battery integration; for big jobs I use the mower’s 10aH battery + shoulder strap and literally can cut for hours. Never feels underpowered. 2 changes I’d love to see next year: (1) some more Ego blades for different conditions; & (2) a stronger cutting wheel guard: my plastic guard is taking brunt of force whenever cuttings fly off @ high rpm; it’s not going to live long. Other than that, def 5 stars ⭐️ bc this thing is awesome

The cutting edges on the blade could be sharper...I will have to do that myself.
