there’s a fatalism in Amabel’s more recent designs that I really appreciate - it sets her apart from other designers - she is interested in and explores unwinnable scenarios. there isn’t a “victory”, there is only survival. it’s most evident in this game, the newest Table Battles expansion, and Endurance. I’m thrilled to own this small work of art - it’s both horrifying and heartbreaking.
