It's a great game involving some luck and mitigation mechanics of figuring out what cards are more helpful during the final Dragon (Boss) battle.
The learning curve is quite simple and becomes understood after the first played game. The first game should just be a trial run to learn how to play the game.
The set-up is quick and easy. Just shuffle the 16 mage cards with the level 2 showing on the top left of each card and put the region card in the front of the deck and the dragon at the back. Draw 4 cards and begin playing.
Once you understand the game, it's actually easier to play without a table.
The art on the cards are great and have shiny foil on many of the them. The info on the cards for gameplay are easy to read and understand, making decisions easily beneficial.
The cards are very slippery and can evade your hand with one false move, so I do recommend sleeving the cards for that reason.
All in all, it's a very thought out game and is very enjoyable to play.

Fun game. However around~ 10+ games in and the cards are sticking to each other, foil is peeling horizontally, edges are whitening.
