Does the job with style

An overdue upgrade to my food storage. Love the usual Hyperlite reflective spots that make a headlamp find it in a heartbeat when it's hanging from a tree. 10L size is more than enough space for 2-3 nights backpacking with homemade dehydrated meals plus snacks, minimal toiletries that need to be hung overnight in bear bag country, or 1-2 nights for two-person overnight bear-bagging.

Ultra light, ultra easy and Ultra cool

I just stepped off a six day section hike on the AT. I carried food in my new HMG Roll top food bag. The bag managed six days of food and my garbage bag. A couple nights I use the rock bag for a classic bear hang. When we camped at shelters with bear lockers, my companions were grumbling about carrying their 2+ pound bear canisters. The roll top bag is the answer to the ultra light backpacker’s food storage needs.

Good for all-around gear.

Great as a stuff sack and easier to pack and unpack than the more traditional stuff sack form factor
