I don't know how to explain the sugary taste, but I definitely wouldn't have said strawberry, and it was very off-putting. Some of the pieces had a really nice, soft texture, but after a few of those, I'd come across a piece that felt like I was biting straight into solid cartilage instead of just being a little dry and tough. I couldn't even finish the bag.
