Not For Me

When I read HabibiNY’s latest creation, Solstice Dunes has lot of notes that I like - Pineapple, Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Rose, Vetiver, Patchouli, Vanilla, Oud, I was do excited and blind buy it. When it arrived, it didn’t come with a sample like any of my other HabibiNY orders where I can try the sample to see if I like it or to return it unopened. The 2 samples that came with it were Palace Grove and Unspoken love. When I tried the Solstice Dunes for the first time, there is something I was not fond of it. To me it doesn’t have the usual HabibiNY DBA. I tried it the next day. Feel the same. I went back to read the notes again. On HabibiNY website, it said it has camphor, even though no camphor is listed on the box. I think the camphor note is the one I dislike. However, this is some my own opinion and my own skin reaction. It doesn’t mean it applies to all people. I should have used the money to buy Desert Oud instead to add to my collection. I give an extra star for the new packaging - same like the Honeyed Tobacco I bought not long ago. I like the new slide out to open packaging .

Too feminine for me

I like the scent OK. I personally like citrus scents (Citrus and Sage is a favorite -unavailable currently). I also like the darker Cashmere Oude. This one is more passionfruit than citrus and the darker scent is muted making it definitely mor a scent for women. Just a reminder for me to steer clear of unisex scents.

This product is not great neither is the scent.

Out of all your company products this one might need to be discontinued. The scent is nothing like summer.
