Nylon sheath sierra
I was disappointed there wasn’t more information on how to size it. I bought the large and had to send it back for the medium. It was a gift for someone. I was happy with the help on the phone on how to return it. He is very happy now.

Color is way off !!!
Color is not the same as pictured. Pictured is close to an OD Green. What I received was close to a light mint color. Extremely dissatisfied

Exra Material / Made in China
The only real disappointment is the sheath. Don’t get me wrong, the nylon material is well-made and the stitching looks sharp. But the strap that goes over the top has about two inches of extra material that just hangs there like an open invitation for every branch, or random object to snag on. It bugs me every time I try to secure the tool on my belt. And while we’re nitpicking… Leatherman, come on. The Wave Alpha is developed, engineered, designed, and manufactured right here in a great American city, yet you outsourced the sheath to China? I get that costs are costs, but for a brand that’s built its reputation on American quality, it feels like a missed opportunity. Please consider making every single component—tools and sheath—exclusively in the USA. Your loyal customers (and this old PST survivor) would love it. All that said, I’m still thrilled with the upgrade. The Wave Alpha feels like it’s going to outlast me, and I’m already looking forward to the next 30 years of carrying it. Unless you make the sheath yourself this is what you get.
