Up to this point, as I am just a beginner, I am finding this tripod head to be very useful in learning to use equatorial mode. Very well-made, sturdy, it was easy to install on my existing larger tripod. Works perfectly with my Seestar 30 pro.

Overall the tripod head seems to work well. It has a solid feel, and the tilt adjustment strength holds the SeeStar S30 Pro at the set elevation. The ability to adjust the tilt/pan handle is a nice feature. At first I put the handle on backwards and had to raise the handle instead of push down on the handle to get to the lower (35-degree) latitudes. I can collapse the handle so it lies along one of my Manfrotto tripod legs for transport. It took me a bit of time to get comfortable with the resistance of the return to 90-degree tension of the elevation tilt. The 2.5-degree tilt graduations only get me close to my local latitude.
The QR plate works well with my camera tripod ball-head mount.
The bubble level mounted in the QR mount base is easy to use. Not sure why there is a bubble level in the QR tightening knob. It serves no purpose on a mount with only rotational and elevation axes of movement.

Haven't used it in the field yet, but it seems sturdy enough, operates smoothly and works well with the S30 Pro.
