This is my 3rd strop and it's the best by far because of the thickness of the leather, it'll last years! The first was a cheap thing from eBay because I didn't know any better, it was OK but lasted SFA. The second was a good one, Brommeland Gunleather on a polycarbonate core, lasted 18 months because the leather was less than 1/2mm thick. The Sydney Strop Co.'s Double-Sided Paddle Strop is 2-3mm (I'm to lazy to pull out the ruler) leather with coarse and fine sides. I already know this is going to last me at LEAST a few years with my usage, minimum once or twice a week for the knife I'm carrying, I'm OCD, use it, strop it 🤣 I find sharpening very therapeutic too, so it's not just my one knife I carry, there's at least a couple more friend's knives I'll strop because they have no idea...leatherman types and the like that never get sharpened, like I say I'll last me a few years at least! Highly Recommend.
