Sizing Weird, But Decent Otherwise

I'm unsure what happened with this pattern. In all other Black Snail patterns, I range between a US 44 and a US 48. For whatever reason, in this pattern, I was smaller than the smallest size, a US 34. I was extremely confused and needed to reference a different waistcoat I already have to get the size right. After I got the sizing right, I was able to follow the instructions well enough to make something decent. I understand that these patterns are based off of extent pieces and intended to be made without machines, but I wish the instructions had a "By Hand" version and a "By Machine" version
