Easy to install, sturdy, and seriously built to withstand a beating. Between this and the locks, I'm hoping any thieves will look for a softer target. I created a storage place for it on the tongue of my trailer so I can easily stow it when we are underway and install it when the trailer is parked.

The BEAST

I anticipated this being the definitive wheel lock. I had no idea that it would be such a great visual deterrent as well. The thoughts that when the mechanics of this device and the engineering are evident. It’s nice to hold something to work with something that has Manuel thought out. The engineers are proven Austrie have earned their pay and then some. I recommend this for anybody wanting to keep the trailer that they’ve spent so much money on. My recommendation is without reservation.

Fantastic company to deal with. During the question and answer process when doing my due diligence on the WB-600 Wheel Boot and the Model 2516 with stainless lock (and both items upgraded to the disk-detaining cylinder lock) I was communicating back and forth with Anabel and Erica. Both of these customer service reps were true ambassadors to the company. There was not a question they didn’t readily answer and on the phone they were very pleasant. Both products arrived from their Florida office to my Toronto, Canada area home in short time. Upon opening the products, I was extremely impressed! To say they are heavy duty is an understatement. The wheel boot weighs over 30lbs and aside from looking very deterring, it fit the aluminum trailer wheel perfectly with the adjustable slide pin arm. Before this purchase I looked at other wheel boots and hitch locks but they don’t even come close in comparison. Cheap, light gage metal but painted bright can still be compromised in minutes…these Proven Industries locks are on another level…someone would be days trying to compromise them with major tools. The Model 2516 hitch lock weighs about 13lbs itself and when you hold these items you know without doubt you got what you paid for! The designs are clever and thought out and are the best I’ve seen on the market after extensive research. The items definitely were not cheap but when weighing out the option of spending $1150 CDN delivered (for both items) to protect a custom $20K trailer (Millroad Trailers out of Brucefield, ON, Canada..you will not find a better quality aluminum trailer anywhere!), it didn’t seem too unreasonable. Bottom line in life, you get what you pay for. The only glitch was one set of extra keys (definitely recommend) were forgotten in the shipment and some of the orange paint on the wheel boot was chipped in shipping (it’s a big heavy item in a cardboard box and was almost expected when you feel its weight). One quick phone call and a couple days later Anabel had the extra keys and some touch up paint shipped right to my door. Impressive level of service and they make you feel like your order is their total focus. I had my first official use of the locks (outside of using them in my driveway) when I had the trailer up by Sault St Marie snowmobiling last week and locked them up on our coldest day of the year -35 degrees C without windchill! The locks turned a little slower with the key (as did absolutely anything outside) but they worked perfectly. I left the trailer for 4 days in a back motel parking lot and it was highly visible and a high traffic area. Normally I would have been worried thinking I’d come back to find my trailer stolen but I had zero worries with this Proven Armour on my rig. Excellent quality product…period.
