Phoenix vs. FS999
I’ve been trying to find the best replacement for PMC3. Phoenix seems closer to PMC3 in texture and flexibility but with a shrinkage that one has to take into consideration. It takes stamping very well and doesn’t slump when fired. I found the FS999 more challenging to work with, especially if molding it around a cork support…. it tends to “puff up” when drying, then slump when fired. It is also more like working with silly putty than with clay. Phoenix is definitely my choice!

This clay has revived my designs! Although I used PMC in the past, I like this new brand, and I even prefer it! It's strong and works well if it is stretched and warmed up! I'm totally going to order more!
