Voile Transit
I like the binding a lot so far based on a couple hours at the resort. I like to make alpine turns at times, and I also like to get my knee on the ski. I have skied Riva Zs, Targas, Hammerheads, O1s and Outlaws. After both pairs of Outlaws would no longer hold onto my skis last year, I spent my first season in over 20 years skiing alpine. Which was a lot of fun. But I wanted a tele setup and I figured that NTN was the problem. I really like the boots (voodoos) and skis (blizzard spur) that I have, and I wanted a system for mostly backcountry, so the TTS seems like the best solution. The solidity of the tech toe attachment for edge control is pretty amazing. My little toe on my left foot was forced to be a much more involved player rather than just getting smushed into place by the rest of my foot with the slop that both 75mm and NTN allow. I did have one release when I cratered my ski tip into a mogul - the ski didn’t come all the way off but the tech pins popped out of their divots.

Really like this binding. Easy to use, lightweight and skis telemark very well. In fact, skis alpine well too. Great binding!

Future of telemark
Forget all the fancy and overbuilt tech tele bindings. This one is it. A plum toe and classic cartridge springs. Nothing to ice up. No question of whether or not it’s working. Light and easy. You probably will never stow the heel throw, unless you’re willing to slow down your transition for a handful of grams off your feet. Pairs well with the TX Pro / Maestrale conversion.
