They're absolutely perfect!

I love them, the tines are the prefect sharpness. Sharp enough to be effective, but blunt enough that my clumsy self won't easily hurt myself. And they pair perfectly with the hackle I ordered.

A beautiful tool!

There is something about taking a fine tool in hand that enhances the joy of any craft. That is how I feel about these combs. They do a marvelous job on my fiber; I’ve honestly never had such a fine roving/top to spin from. But the excellent craftsmanship and perfect finish on these combs are made for the hands!

Many reasons to love these

Compared to my other sets of combs that I have been using for several decades, these combs are superior because: The top they create drafts perfectly, always, whereas with my other combs, there was typically a struggle and I had to intervene frequently to pull out areas and bits. Even with those gone, the top never drafted as smoothly. Top from these combs creates a consistent drafting triangle and allows me to effortlessly draft out exactly the right amount to make a super consistent yarn . There is less waste with these, only 10% compared to 50-60% on my old combs. Fewer neps and noils in the final top, almost none, so 80-90% fewer. I believe that my old combs create neps/noils the more I comb, causing more waste. These combs prepare more top in one session, 2-2.5 times more than my old combs. These require fewer passes, usually half, so they efficiently remove waste without damaging the remaining fiber. These combs are the most economical to own, the extraordinary price convinced me to try them. They were shipped immediately, for free and by a carrier I am glad was used. They were carefully packaged. The savvy and attitude of the owner extends to absolutely all aspects and details of his business, unlike other fiber suppliers who might have a good design idea but have no clue about the customer experience and how to bring everything together consistently. Baruch is brilliant and totally understands how to connect to the needs of his customers. The combs are lovely. They are a pleasure to use. They process more fiber faster than the combs I have used before. Though speed has never been my goal, it is much appreciated. They have changed my fiber preparation experience so that now I am making more and more time to comb and loving it rather than seeing it as a chore that might or might not be easy with that particular fiber on that particular day. These combs are not just my go-to tools but are always calling me back for more fun. Just because a tool is simple does not mean it can be primitive. Quite the contrary, it needs greater sophistication in design and production to be the best tool. I really love being able to support a business that deserves to grow and shows so much promise.
