Great binoculars but

The first thing I noticed is how bright they are. That’s great and for only $300. But they are made in China. Even so, I’ll keep them.

I am glad I listened to those saying 8x42 !is better than 10x50 when the quality is excellent. These prove that right for anyone hunting under 600yards- probably a lot further as game can be spotted well over a mile away. Could not be happier, fantastic value.

A gift for him?

We have binoculars but they just never seem to be right for me. I’d frequently say ' I can’t see that bird you're talking about.’ When I saw these spotlighted in the NYT, I thought they were just what he needed, and they were!
