My experience with SkinLovers was very disappointing. After my order was delivered, FedEx contacted me to collect $60 of unexpected import duties and taxes that were not obvious during checkout. The option regarding duties and taxes is easy to miss, as it requires expanding a drop-down menu below the shipping address. Had these potentail charges been made more prominent, I would have purchased the same sunscreen from a US retailer instead. What disappointed me the most was the lack of customer sevice. Although SkinLovers explained that the fees are charged by U.S. Customs and collected by FedEx, they offered no goodwill gesture or meaningful resolution. A company that values its customers would make every effort to ensure these charges are clearly disclosed before purchase. If you live in the United States, make sure you fully understand the shipping and customs options before placing an order, or consider puchasing from a U.S retailer to avoid unexpected import charges.
