6.5x14 Espresso Stain Maple Snare Drum

Love it!

It took me a bit to get the Aquarian head to fit right because you have to loosen it a lot more compared to a Remo or Evans. Now that I have it dialed in though (pun intended), I can honestly say it's pretty much impossible to make it sound bad. At any tuning range and combination of head tensions, top & bottom, contains a usable sound. I did have to change out my snare stand to a heavier duty one because the one I was using didn't have a basket that opened wide enough without the bottom of the stand touching the snare wires. Also, I'm not sure I would use this snare to regularly gig with because it weighs 20 pounds! I can't image what a full kit of these would weigh! It wasn't an issue for me because it will just live full time in my studio. I love it and I think it's def worth the investment!
