I was indecisive about the Apo or the Achro so the decision was made by cost, mostly due to being a newbie and wanted to try before investing a ton and intended to use for visual only. I did months of research before I purchased and this scope kept my interest throughout. I'm so thrilled with my ES AR127 I can hardly wait for clear skies. Seeing Jupiter and its four moons and the Orion Nebula for the first time validated my decision to buy this telescope.
