thought the patterns were the imprint type like others I've bought, I really didn't want a traceable pattern

Good patterns

These patterns won’t tell you what tools to use so if you’re brand new at it…. well it’ll be quite a steep learning curve. I make a few practice runs and use different tools for different effects and then pick something I prefer over the others. Once I get it down on practice scrap leather I’ll give it a try on a project. After a few projects it starts to look decent and after a few more I know which tools I prefer and I start using them a bit better. Someday I may even become good at this.

I have not tried all of the patterns out however I did one of the belt patterns found the embossed portions to be too shallow to make an impression on the leather tried rubbing, pressing, and a mallet no luck moved on to something else
