Black Currant Dessert Topping

Whole berries provide more true flavor and nothing like preserves. I thought it was going to much sweeter but its not as sweet as the preserves. It was welcome pleasure. Now I just need Ice cream or sponge cake to pair up. My Eastern European wife says we hit the jackpot with this topping and she paired it with farmers cheese and sour cream.

Beyond perfect .

I am enjoying this topping on some cheesecake I made. Black currants and cheesecake are wonderful together! I have no doubt they’d be fantastic on other desserts as well. Nutritious and delicious.
