Well Constructed but igniter issues

I do not think there could be a better built smoker. I have had trouble with the igniter every time I have used it except the first time. There seems to be an electrical problem. I checked the fuse, cleaned the fire box, etc and it will eventually start. I think I could just use a map gas torch to start it faster. My $300 tailgate pit boss starts every single time with no intervention. My yoder is very temperamental on startup. Once it is going, it is ok. The temperature swings a little more than I would like, but I cant have everything I suppose. But for $3000 I was expecting better.

I will have to get used to the heat difference on the top shelf for briskets and roast. Smoke content was great, makes great burgers and steaks, very happy with this product!!

Awesome Pellet Grill!!

Needed to replaced an ancient WORN OUT gas grill on the back porch and opted for the Yoder YS640 Standard Cart Pellet Grill. Got it burned in and seasoned then got down to business with a 9# bone in Boston Butt. 10 hours later and much less work than my offset stick burner we had a phenomenal pulled pork fest. Next we pulled the heat shield, cranked up the heat and threw on a couple of Sirloin steaks and BAM, another delicious meal! The experience with BBQ Outfitters was good and the Yoder to this point has exceeded my expectations.
