Flow Series LED Battery Savers

Great product once understood its purpose

So I’m a complete newb when it comes to led system design (really any electrical design). I’m very capable of assembling parts and running wiring to and from components. But understanding the ins and outs of how some of these components are designed to work and what/when/why/how they function is not always easy. When I saw the product on nln’s site it caught my attention as I am utilizing 2 blue ghozt controllers for my headlight and taillight builds and figured it would add a level of insurance to the electrical system in my truck. When I got them in the mail I realized I had no idea how to set up the wiring for my intended use. It took quite a bit of bench testing the battery saver with some spare strips and jumper wires for me to wrap my head around getting them set up properly for my needs. I am using one blue ghozt to run my custom taillights (park lights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights, and show mode) and another for my headlights (drl’s, turns, park lights, and show mode). I could not understand having only 3 triggers on the battery saver when connecting so many functions. I wish there was a better description on the site or a thorough set of installation instructions provided with the unit. After I figured out how it works, when it needs to be powered, and what its purpose is it became much easier to design and install the system. I love the concept behind this unit and also love having the remote as an alternate trigger for show mode. My only complain is that there is limited wiring info out there for them. I do also wish to they had provisions for connecting more triggers (brake, park, reverse, etc). I think it only makes sense to be controlling the power to those circuits as well. Overall it’s a great concept and I have no real complaints about the product itself.
