Peony Roots x3 - Candy Stripe

Received my Fall shipment a little later than I expected. Contacted Eden Brothers about viability of planting. They assured me it would be fine to plant even though our nighttime temperatures were freezing and below freezing, as long as the ground could be worked, which it could. I received three of these very expensive roots. The first I opened was impressive, and I was very happy with it's size and health, multiple eyes. The second I opened was smaller, one eye, but looked alive. The third was disappointing - very small - indistinguishalbe eye? I planted all three and will wait for Spring to see if they survive and grow. I will follow-up on the outcome. I wish I had taken pictures of the difference in these three roots to post with this review, but i didn't think of it at the time.
